M Lees and Sons has dated this George II Tallboy Chest to the Georgian era.
Raised on bold ogee bracket feet, the base section fitted with 3 long graduated depth drawers .
The oak-lined drawers all fitted with cast brass rococo design handles and key escutcheons, retaining the original brass locks ( no key ) .

The flat boarded top above a projecting moulded cornice with carved dentil detail and having canted corners with reeded uprights.
The figured ‘red walnut’ timber having achieved a rich colour and patina to the original polished surface. In excellent original condition, having been sympathetically cleaned and waxed in our workshops .
A bold mid C18th chest-on-chest of great presence and style, offering capacious storage. Constructed in two sections for ease of movement and transportation.
