Victorian Oak and Brass Mail Basket

A late Victorian figured oak mail basket with fretted brass decoration and original brass labels c.1890. Solid figured oak construction with fretted upstand to the back, plus two holes for wall hanging if required. Solid sides and division to the interior. The front with two bands of polished fretted brass and labels reading 'post' and 'delivery'. Presented in immaculate condition with a rich colour and polish. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 10.25" wide x 4.75" deep x 7.75" high to top the back.
