Very Large Mahogany Pedestal Sideboard C.1870

19th century
Description

Impressively proportioned pedestal sideboard with removable mirror back c.1870. Original 68" x 40" arch top mirror plate within a moulded an crossbanded surround. Over a serpentine front sideboard with a central drawer and open shelves flanked with large cupboards fitted with drawers and sliding shelves. Solid mahogany top with a shaped and moulded edge. Well figured flame mahogany veneered doors and panels behind the centre shelves. Applied carvings to the mirror frame and door panels. Raised on a shaped and moulded plinth, veneered to match. Some tarnish to the mirror, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops, key supplied.

Note the mirror back sits loose on the back and can be easily removed if preferred.
