Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A fusee dial wall clock is a traditional British mechanical timepiece featuring a cone-shaped pulley system designed to equalise the pull of the mainspring as it unwinds. Widely produced during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, these clocks were standard timekeeping instruments in offices, schools, and railway stations.

Traditional dial wall clocks feature turned wooden bezels, most commonly mahogany or oak, housing a painted metal dial behind a glass door. Internal components consist of heavy brass movement plates, steel arbors, and a brass fusee cone linked via a gut cord or steel chain.

Authentic English fusee clocks possess a distinct mechanical movement with a coiled spring driving a cone-shaped fusee via a chain or line. The heavy brass plates are accessed through side or bottom door hatches within a solid timber casing.

A circular timber clock creates a strong visual focal point when mounted on a neutral wall or positioned above a console table. Its classical proportion complements traditional libraries, modern home offices, and transitional hallway spaces.

Mechanical clocks require regular winding using a properly fitted key and should be mounted perfectly level on a secure wall. The wooden case should be kept clean with a dry cloth, while the mechanical movement benefits from professional horological servicing every three to five years.
