Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Engagement rings from the 1930s often bridge the bold geometry of the Art Deco period and the softer lines of the Retro era. They frequently feature solitaire diamonds cut in older styles, paired with platinum settings on yellow gold bands.

During this era, jewellers frequently combined platinum head settings with yellow gold shanks to make white diamonds appear brighter. Diamonds were hand-faceted into old European or transitional cuts prior to modern precision cutting standards.

Authentic pieces from this period typically exhibit hand-cut diamond facets, such as a smaller table and open culet, alongside period hallmarks and mixed-metal construction. Inspection under magnification often reveals delicate hand-finished claw work and tailored shoulder detailing.

A vintage solitaire ring pairs seamlessly with simple contemporary wedding bands or fine minimalist stackable rings. Resting the piece inside a velvet trinket box on a dressing table also creates an elegant personal display.

Soak the ring in warm water with mild dish soap and gently clean around the setting using a soft-bristled brush. Professional inspections every year ensure claw integrity remains secure for daily wear.
