Victorian Brass Coal Scuttle

A Victorian embossed brass coal scuttle with cast fittings and dust shield to the top c.1890. Flared form with folded seem to each side; the bottom half embossed with stylised leaf design decoration with complementing decoration to the foot. Decorative cast brass hinge to the swing handle with a covered back section to prevent dust blowing back. The dust shield with decoration to complement the base. Superb quality and condition, newly polished ready for use. Measures 15" wide x 11" deep x 13" high with handle down or 18" high with handle up.
