Description

Superb George III figured cuban mahogany longcase or grandfather clock with 8 day striking movement by Young of Liverpool. The great case decorated in places with blind fret and with columns to hood and quarter columns to trunk probably made by Gillows of Lancaster. The brass and silvered face has rocking ship in arch. Movement is in full working order and comes with all keys. The case is in very fine condition with no obvious repairs. Case is lovely rich colour with great waxed patina. A handsome clock in lovely condition. FRESH ON MARKET STRAIGHT FROM SCOTTISH MANSION HOUSE.

Size; 89" high, 19" wide and 10" deep at hood.
