Description

Early 19th century framed watercolour painting entitled "The Gamekeepers Cottage" by PETER DE WINT (attributed). Recently purchased from a private house this is a really nice watercolour painting. The painting is not signed but has the details inked on the mount. Whether it is by Peter De Wint or not is probably debatable but it has been tested for age and if definitely from the early 19th century.

It comes with a Sotheby's valuation from 23rd of April 1993 where it was validated and valued at £3000 - £4000 by their then current art expert.

Peter De Wint was a famous English watercolourist. Born 1784. Died 1849
