Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the Georgian period, precise mapping of the West Indies was essential for maritime trade and navigation. Mapmakers such as Thomas Jefferys produced detailed copperplate engravings detailing topography, administrative boundaries, and key harbour locations.

Maps from this era were printed using copperplate engraving techniques onto handmade rag paper. Regional borders and coastal outlines were subsequently highlighted by hand using watercolour pigments.

Authentic period prints exhibit clear plate indentations along the margins, characteristic chain lines or watermarks within the paper, and slight variations in hand-applied watercolour washes.

Display framed cartography above a console table, within a library setting, or as part of an office gallery wall. Combining historical paper prints with clean contemporary lines creates an effective contrast.

Keep prints out of direct sunlight and away from areas with high moisture levels to prevent fading and foxing. Use conservation-grade, acid-free mounting board and UV-filtering glass within the frame.
