Collinge Antiques has dated this Chinoiserie Longcase Clock to the 1930s.
Note also the four dragons on the door around the clock face and the mountain towards the bottom of the long door. Floral decoration and faux columns on the hood. Moulded detail surrounding the long door, further floral decoration on the plinth and extensive gilded detail. Housing a spring-driven eight day works (no strike or chimes) with a brass face with black numbers and hands, short pendulum with a chromed bob. Original brass handles to both doors. Some minor wear to the case, otherwise excellent working condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
