Vintage 0.99 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1945

Description

An impressive late Art Deco diamond solitaire. The old European cut diamond in the centre - weighing a breath under 1.00 carat - is secured in a square platinum collet. The beautifully vented and milgrained platinum shoulders are each set with a 0.05 carat (approx) eight-cut diamond, leading to a D-shaped shank crafted in 9k white gold.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut: Old European cut in the centre, with eight-cuts in the shoulders.

Colour: The centre is K. The diamonds in the shoulders are G to H.

Clarity: The centre is VS2. The diamonds in the shoulders are SI1.

Carat: The centre is 0.99 carat, with a further approximate 0.10 carat in the shoulders.

Circa: 1945.

Size: M (UK) or 6 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The centre diamond is 6.11 x 6.25mm and sits 4.9mm from the finger.

Weight: 2.05 grams.

Metal: Top part of the ring is platinum. On a 9k white gold band. Stamped and tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer to confirm.
