Slim figured mahogany trunk below with moulded edge and thermometer box. Matching bone scale reading in Fahrenheit and Reaumur to the original mercury action thermometer. Circular base containing the cistern with matching turned cover. Bears the makers name Hewitson, Newcastle recorded as trading at 76 Grey Street between 1855 & 1875. This example presented in superb original condition with a rich colour and patina; the movement fully overhauled and working. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques.
