An ideal antique large drop leaf table ideal for space saving.
We have just cleaned and waxed this table to give a lovely natural sheen and enhancement.
This table has a very small form yet is versatile from having a two large squared drop-down leafs managing to comfortably seat up to 6 people and be used as a dining, breakfast table or as a side table. This table features 4 straight, squared typical Georgian legs with a scratch moulding to the external edge. 2 of the legs are hinged on hand cut finger joints to support the leaves when opened, the table underside is jointed together nicely by dovetails which can be seen when these legs are out. The table is very well made and constructed well, its Mortise and Tenon joints are in great condition unusually without having any breaks or repairs meaning the table is rigid with no wobbles. The 1 plank solid Mahogany tops are notably flat without any splits and are not unduly twisted.
Please note; Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character. We have left it untouched and as it came in from the previous owner apart from just cleaning and waxing.
