Rare 1920'S Geographic Educator Jigsaw Globe

A rare 1920s Geographic educator jigsaw puzzle globe with six lift off Bakelite sections, complete with all the jigsaw map pieces. The revolving 6" globe sat on a patinated brown enamel cast iron tripod foot. The sectional globe with original tinted lacquered paper finish made up in seven tiers secured by a removable brass finial to the top. The finial unscrewing to allow removal of the tiers, each with a jigsaw map made from coloured Bakelite. A rare item in unusual complete condition with a rich colour and original patina. Measures 6" globe diameter x 10" high.
