Description

'A History Of Eton College 1440-1875' by H. C. Maxwell Lyte, published by Macmillan & Co, London in 1877.

The book is fully bound in a red leather with gilt stamped Etonian crest to the front board and blind stamped crest to the back. Five raised bands and gilt title to the spine. There is fading to the spine leather and signs of shelf wear throughout but boards remain sound and attractive overall.

All page edges gilt. Tight binding. Marbled endpapers. Inscription to the front flyleaf dated 1877. All pages remain clean and bright.
