Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

First appearing in the late seventeenth century, sugar sifters or casters were designed to sprinkle powdered or granulated sugar over food, fruit, and desserts at the dining table, serving as both functional tableware and a decorative display.

Traditional British sugar casters are primarily crafted from solid sterling silver or silver plate, featuring hand-pierced domes, cast finials, and stepped or pedestal bases for stability.

Authentic sterling silver pieces from Sheffield feature official British hallmarks, including the crown assay mark, the lion passant indicating sterling purity, a makers mark, and a date letter code.

A silver sugar caster can be displayed on a dining sideboard, integrated into a formal table arrangement, or styled on a tray alongside modern barware and glassware.

To preserve silver tableware, polish it gently with a soft cotton cloth and specialized silver polish to remove tarnish, avoiding abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
