Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Doulton Lambeth art pottery refers to decorative stoneware produced at the Lambeth studio in London between the 1870s and 1950s. The studio became famous for employing artists who individually decorated each piece, often inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement.

These items were crafted using high-fired stoneware clay, decorated with techniques such as sgraffito, tubelining, and hand-applied slip. Glazes were applied to create contrasting glossy and textured finishes across the ceramic surface.

Authentic pieces generally feature impressed factory marks on the underside, including the Royal Doulton or Doulton Lambeth stamp. Additionally, artist monograms or initials and numerical shape codes are frequently stamped or incised into the base.

Positioning stoneware ceramics on wooden sideboards or within built-in shelving provides textural contrast against modern backdrops. Displaying them alongside simple foliage or grouping them with tonal ceramics creates a curated focal point.

Clean the surface gently using a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water and mild dish detergent. Avoid soaking the piece or using abrasive chemicals, as these can damage delicate glazes or penetrate hairline crazing.
