Superb Victorian Oak Cased Barometer by R & J Beck, London

A superb quality Victorian oak cased aneroid barometer with porcelain dial by highly regarded maker R & J Beck, London c.1885. Deep turned solid golden oak case with rounded front edge. Porcelain dial with weather predictions sat around the outer edge and the makers name R & J Beck, noted instrument and microscope maker of 68 Cornhill, London. Bevelled edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel with central reading marker sat over the top of the dial. Aneroid movement, fully serviced and working, presented in superb condition with a deep shine to the case. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 6.5" diameter x 2.25" deep.
