The bronze exhibiting very fine colour and fine detail, raised on a shaped onyx plinth and signed Lorenzl to the base of the bronze figurine.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco bronze sculptures from the 1920s are recognised for their streamlined forms, stylised geometric lines, and depictions of dynamic movement, often featuring dancers or theatrical figures influenced by contemporary performances and orientalism.

These figures were cast using the lost-wax process, featuring hand-applied patinas, gilded or cold-painted surface details, and were typically mounted on carved marble or onyx plinths to enhance contrast.

Authentic period bronzes generally feature cast signatures near the foot or base, precise hand-chased surface work, crisp line definition without soft mould wear, and age-appropriate patination alongside original stone plinths.

Position the figure on a marble mantelpiece, console table, or dark wood display unit where dedicated accent lighting can highlight its silhouette and metallic contrast.

Dust gently with a soft microfibre cloth, avoid harsh chemical cleansers, and apply a thin layer of microcrystalline wax to the bronze surface periodically to prevent oxidisation.
