Melayer Pure Wool Rug

A quality Persian pure wool Melayer rug with interlinked pattern typical of the Hamadan area of Persia, in superb unworn newly cleaned ready for use c.1920. The hand knotted close deep pile with interlinked floral design repeated to the main section of the rug set against a dark blue background with champagne, pale blue and soft red tones to the decoration. Red and champagne floral border to the outer edge. Presented in excellent ware and stain free condition, newly cleaned ready for use.
