A quality late Victorian figured walnut six drawer secretaire Wellington chest in superb original condition c.1870. Figured walnut top sat over seven graduated drawers all with solid ash lined interiors; the drawer fronts with figured walnut veneers and original turned knobs. The centre two drawers pulling out and the front falling to form a writing surface with green baized surface; fitted drawers and pigeon holes to the rear. Molded plinth to the base and figured walnut sides. Pilasters to each side of the drawers with carved corbels to the top, plus the right pilaster forming locking bar for the drawers with working lock and key. Presented in excellent condition with a rich unfaded colour and deep polish. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 23'' wide x 14'' deep x 49'' high.
