Description

East caucasus,late 19th century.

All woollen caucasian rug with a design of three lesghi stars. The dark brown/black field filled with geometric flower heads,s-motifs and others. Attractively colourful.

Has been hand washed,last three images,plenty images to look at.

In distressed condition but very tidy.

All over low pile. There has been an old repair to top end border. Side cord wear with reinforcements from rear.

Size is 4 foot 7 inches by 3 foot 3 inches. 140cm by 100cm. At widest points. Minor fringes not measured in size. All woollen construction.

Weighs 2.7kg. U.k post £16.

Price £325 gbp.
