Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco timepieces from the 1930s feature bold geometric shapes, clean lines, and modern industrial materials such as chrome, mirrored glass, and Bakelite. They reflect the modernist aesthetic of the interwar period with stylised typography and streamlined proportions.

Clocks from this era frequently combined tinted or mirrored glass panels, chrome-plated metal trim, brass movements, and stepped wooden or synthetic bases. Mechanical movements, such as 8-day spring-driven mechanisms, were standard in quality desktop and mantel timepieces.

Authentic period clocks display characteristic period typography, geometric numeral layouts, hand-finished metalwork, and original mechanical winding mechanisms. Look for age-appropriate wear to chrome finishes, authentic glass tinting, and period maker markings on the dial or movement.

A geometric glass clock serves as a focal point on a fireplace mantel, sideboard, or executive desk. Pair it with mid-century modern or contemporary brass accents, dark wood surfaces, and neutral backdrops to highlight the green tint and reflective chrome details.

Keep the clock in a dry environment with stable humidity to prevent internal corrosion of the mechanical movement. Clean glass and metal surfaces gently using a soft microfibre cloth, avoiding harsh chemical solvents that could strip plating or damage reverse-painted elements.
