A pie crust table is an 18th-century style occasional table featuring a circular top with a raised, scalloped or carved rim resembling a pie crust, usually supported by a central turned pedestal and tripod legs.

Georgian pie crust tables were predominantly crafted from solid dense mahogany, featuring hand-turned pedestals, hand-carved cabriole legs, and solid brass or iron tilt-latch mechanisms beneath the tabletop.

Authentic 18th-century tilt-top tables display hand-cut dovetails on the underside mounting block, original iron or brass catch hardware, subtle asymmetrical hand-carving on the pie crust rim, and natural surface wear from age.

Style a Georgian pie crust table as an accent piece in a reading nook beside an armchair, or position it in an empty corner holding a small table lamp, books, or ceramics.

Maintain the original finish by dusting regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and applying high-quality beeswax twice yearly, keeping the timber away from direct heat sources and moisture.
