Circa 1810 the chair is solid and wobble free
Central back panel inset with an oval painted armorial crest
featuring a crown above a phoenix rising from flames, framed by a Latin motto

The motto says the word 'Feight' which translates to battle
The polished mahogany seat has a gentle front curve for comfort,
supported on square tapered legs typical of Regency furniture design Hall chairs like this were once found in the grand entrance halls of country houses and town mansions, offering occasional seating while proudly displaying the family coat of arms
