Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Historically known as a dallah or ibrik, these copper coffee pots were crafted across the Middle East and Ottoman Empire for brewing traditional unfiltered coffee. Their distinct elongated spouts, fitted lids, and slender handles reflect centuries of cultural hospitality practices.

These pots were typically hand-hammered from sheet copper, featuring brazed or dovetailed seams alongside cast brass or bronze fittings. Interiors were frequently lined with tin to prevent chemical reaction between copper and acidic liquid.

Authentic antique pieces display irregular hand-hammered facets, visible hand-brazed joinery, and natural surface patination or oxidisation. Reproductions often exhibit uniform machine-stamped patterns, modern fasteners, and lightweight sheet metal.

Position the vessel on a sideboard top, open shelf, or kitchen island alongside natural stone, wood, or ceramic elements. The rich copper tones provide warm metallic contrast within contemporary, rustic, or eclectic spaces.

Dust gently using a soft microfibre cloth and avoid harsh chemical polishes that remove historic surface patina. If washing is necessary, use warm water with mild soap, drying the metal immediately to prevent surface spotting.
