Description

A charming antique Victorian miniature head and shoulder profile portrait of a lady signed and dated 1852, in original attractive birds eye maple frame. The lady is in a black dress, white lace hair bonnet and is wearing a brooch and a necklace, with the date 28 August 1852 below and signed with what appears to be “H Anderson”. This wonderful watercolour is on paper and is housed behind glass and is in its original birds eye maple cushioned frame with nicely aged inner gilt slip and complete with brass hanging loop.

Original condition with good colour and patina. General wear and marks commensurate with age.
