The impressive and vibrant piece is decorated rim-to-rim in flowers and geometric patterns.

It is embellished with colours of manganese, ochre, yellow, green and blue.

Polychrome Dutch Delftware refers to tin-glazed earthenware produced in the Netherlands decorated with multiple coloured enamels, such as green, red, blue, and manganese, inspired by both Asian porcelain and European floral motifs.

Pieces were shaped from local clay, fired once into biscuit earthenware, and dipped in an opaque white tin glaze before being hand-painted with metallic oxide pigments and fired a second time.
