Edwardian Silver Fronted Art Nouveau Mantel Clock

A fine quality Edwardian mahogany mantle clock with silver front in the Art Nouveau style and 8 day French movement; fully restored and working, hallmarked Birmingham 1909. The polished mahogany casework with narrow waist and shaped arch top, the front of the case with embossed silver overlay decorated with a flowing flower design in typical Art Nouveau style. Convex porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands set behind a bevelled edge glass, which is mounted in a polished brass bezel. French 8 day movement with platform escapement sat behind the dial. The silver front bearing the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths William Devenport along with clear hallmarks.
