Bevelled edge glass sat over the top with moulded edge frame sat around the outer edge. Slim trunk with thermometer box set to the centre, which includes a bone scale and original mercury action thermometer. Square base section with cushion design cistern cover to the centre. Bears the makers name Chadburn Brothers, Sheffield (they also had a location in Liverpool), who were highly regarded markers to Prince Albert, exhibited at the Great Exhibition and are noted as trading between 1837 & 1875. This example presented in superb condition with a rich colour and original patina, fully overhauled and working. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques.
