Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Produced primarily at the Lambeth factory in London during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Royal Doulton stoneware is renowned for its hand-decorated finishes, intricate tubelining, and durable glazes reflecting Victorian and Art Nouveau traditions.

These items were crafted using high-fired stoneware clays, decorated with coloured slips, tubelined enamels, and durable salt or lead glazes yielding rich brown, ochre, blue, and white tones.

Authentic pieces typically feature stamped factory marks on the underside, such as the lion and crown motif or Doulton Lambeth impression, often accompanied by impressed model numbers and artist monograms.

A symmetrical pair works exceptionally well positioned on a fireplace mantelpiece, sideboard top, or hallway console table to introduce warm tones and historical texture to a modern room scheme.

Dust gently with a soft dry cloth or microfibre duster, avoiding harsh chemical cleansers or submersion in water which may affect unglazed foot rings or delicate surface enamelling.
