This is a superb, original 19th-century Oval Oil on Board Landscape Painting depicting a rural British countryside lane, with rugged embankments and tall, mature trees.

There is no visible signature, but it is believed to be a work by the prominent 19th-century British artist James Thomas Linnell (1826-1905).

The quality is quite exceptional, and the attention to detail is very lifelike.

The painting is presented in immaculate original condition and is mounted within its original, glazed, and gilt gallery frame.
