Top Quality Victorian Oak Pen and Ink Stand

A top quality late Victorian pen and ink desk stand in figured oak with silver plated fittings and decorative knight to the centre c.1890. Solid figured oak construction with two wells to the surface to hold pens, plus original cut crystal ink wells with silver plated hinged lids sat either side of the centre. Silver plated central storage compartment with lift off lid to the centre with superbly detailed cast knight forming the handle. The corners and edges bound with silver plated fittings, matching silver plated feet to the base and carrying handles to each side. Full width drawer below with surface for storing letters and envelopes. Presented in immaculate condition with a rich colour and polish. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques.
