Cast brass hinged bezel forming the convex glazed dial door, which is sat in front of the original convex painted dial and blued steel hands. The dial painted with Roman numerals plus makers name and address - Dent, 28 Cocksupr St, London. Single fusee 8 day duration movement with anchor escapement, fully overhauled and working. A superior quality example by a collected maker (E J Dent) who was commissioned to make Big Ben in 1852. Presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and polish.
