Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian display cabinets, dating from approximately 1901 to 1914, are defined by lighter visual proportions than earlier Victorian pieces, frequently featuring mahogany construction, delicate string inlay, and glazed astragal doors designed for exhibiting porcelain or glassware.

These cabinets typically incorporate fine mahogany timber with decorative satinwood or boxwood inlay, fitted with glass panes set into wooden astragal tracery and supported by brass hardware and lock mechanisms.

Authentic period pieces exhibit hand-cut dovetail joinery, period-correct brass locks, subtle natural timber shrinkage, and refined satinwood crossbanding or geometric stringing characteristic of early 20th-century cabinetmaking.

Position the cabinet as a focal storage piece in a dining room, hallway, or living area, utilizing the glazed shelving to present curated ceramics, glassware, or bound books against neutral contemporary walls.

Position the cabinet away from direct sunlight and radiators to avoid wood warping or veneer movement, clean glass panes with a soft microfiber cloth, and periodically apply a high-quality beeswax polish along the grain.
