Description

A quality late Victorian oak piano stool with a finely upholstered hinged seat opening to a sizeable storage compartment, all flanked by beautifully turned raised handles to each side. The stool stands on particularly attractive tapering ring-turned legs.

The seat is upholstered in a later deep blue fabric finished with decorative braid. Practical as well as decorative, it shows robust oak construction with traditional late Victorian detailing. Equally suited to its original purpose as a piano stool, as an occasional seat in the home or for use at a dressing table.

Presented in very good antique condition with a warm patina and minor surface wear consistent with age. The upholstery is perfectly clean and in good order. Structurally all solid and ready to place in the home.
