Born in Czechoslovakia, 1910-1989. Blanka Tauber studied art in Prague and later with Fernand Leger in Paris.
In 1937, she visited Palestine and painted the landscape. She was a member of the artists associations in Czechoslovakia and Hungary.
In 1950, she immigrated to Israel. She lived in Tel Aviv-Jaffa and Netanya before settling in the artists colony in Safed. In 1951, she was accepted to the Israel Artists Association and won the Dizengoff Priize.
Tauber's early work is characterized by dark colours, an expressionist style and heavy contours. Her later work is more colourful. She mainly painted landscapes. Died 1989.
