Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian display cabinets, dating from the early 20th century, feature refined proportions, rich wood veneers such as burr walnut, and expansive glass panelling to exhibit china or collectibles. They frequently incorporate revival design influences from earlier Queen Anne, Chippendale, and Hepplewhite eras.

These cabinets feature thin veneers of highly figured burr walnut cut from root growths, applied over a solid timber framework. The construction includes hand-fitted glass held by timber astragal bars, internal shelving, and cast brass fittings.

Authentic Edwardian pieces exhibit hand-cut dovetail joints, original brass hardware, and subtle imperfections in period glass pane construction. Look for genuine timber backboards and signs of age-related oxidisation on metal elements rather than modern synthetic materials.

A glazed display cabinet provides a grounding focal point when positioned against contemporary neutral walls in a dining or living space. Modern styling can be achieved by curating minimalist ceramics, sculptural objects, or art books within the lit glass interior.

Position walnut furniture away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent timber veneers from drying or lifting. Dust regularly with a soft cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish periodically to maintain the timber finish and lustre.
