Description

Superb Bronze, Gun Dog Retrieving. c1870. Very fine mid 19th Century French bronze study of a hunting dog retrieving a pheasant, excellent hand chased detail and a good original patination. Raised on a stepped naturalistic base, signed on the base J Moigniez. (Jules Moigneiz, French 1835-1894). The base is 32cm (12½ inches) wide. In excellent condition, no damage or restoration. All my photos are taken using natural light only. Our ref 9660
