Porcelain panel to the top with 'Admiral Fitzroy's Storm Barometer' wording located above angled porcelain scales with broad mercury action barometer tube set to the centre and a remote action vernier marker; all sat behind a quarter bevelled edge glass view window. Matching porcelain scale to the slim trunk with mercury action thermometer tube and unusually large reservoir bubble to the base; sat in an oak box with quarter plate bevelled edge glass to match the barometer window. Bears the makers name Negretti & Zambra, who are highly regarded makers of scientific instruments. Presented in superb original condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 40" long x 5" wide at the widest point x 3" wide at the trunk x 3" maximum depth.
