Description

A particularly good quality Victorian low bedroom chair with a sculptural walnut frame, the arched back featuring a carved crest with scroll and floral detailing. Upholstered in a plush olive-green fabric, the chair stands on fine turned and fluted front legs with original brass castors.

A quietly confident piece with an inviting, informal presence. The open, armless design and low stance make it especially well suited to relaxed settings such as reading corners, dressing areas or guest rooms.

Presented in very good antique condition, the walnut surfaces with only some light age-related surface wear and polished to a warm tone. The upholstery is clean and comfortable with only very minor wear and marks. Structurally sound, beautifully clean and ready to place in the home.
