Manner of Gillows Early 19th Century Chaise Longue C1825

Description

A short seated early 19th century country house Chaise Longue in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster. Raised on 4 turned mahogany legs with the original Copes Patent brass cup casters. English c1825

Structurally in good solid order and requiring a new top cover. The seat has been boarded over instead of the traditional webbed seat which it would have originally been like. This should be a straight forward change whilst the upholstery is being carried out. The seat cushion shown is foam and we would recommend changing to feather or a hair filled squab.
