Antique Tabriz Carpet

1900 - 1920
Description

A very attractive antique Tabriz carpet with rich colours and beautiful classical medallion design.  The weave is fine and the detailing is excellent.  An extremely elegant antique carpet with a subtle red medallion and corner spandrel motifs.  The background is an intricate network of lattice motifs with flowers.  Woven around 1910-1920 in the north of Persia in the city of Tabriz.  In good condition throughout with a soft pile that is medium high all over. It has been professionally washed by ourselves and it is ready to be used on the floor.

We offer the service of viewing any of our carpets & rugs in-situ in London, Surrey, Hampshire, & all over the UK by appointment.  We love to travel, and have been doing so since the early 90's having visited customers in Scotland, Ireland, France and Belgium helping them find the ideal carpet for their home.  Please request a home visit below or email us if we can help you.

Farnham Antique Carpets are specialists in antique decorative carpets, rugs and runners. Varying from antique tribal rugs woven in the Caucasus to classical Persian carpets dating from the mid 19th century to the early 20th century.

As members of the BADA - The British Antique Dealers Association and LAPADA - The Association of Art & Antique Dealers we adhere to strict guide lines as affiliated members and pride ourselves on maintaining its high standards. We exhibit at the BADA fair in Chelsea, London every March and the LAPADA Fair in Mayfair, London every September.
