Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery, crafted primarily between 1920 and 1935, is characterised by geometric shapes, clean lines, and symmetrical arrangements. Rings from this era frequently feature white metals such as platinum and white gold to highlight the brilliance of round and step-cut diamonds.

1920s fine jewellery frequently utilised 18ct white gold combined with platinum settings. Platinum was favoured for ring heads and claws due to its strength and neutral white tone, which secures diamonds safely without casting yellow colour into the stones.

Authentic period pieces often feature hallmark or metal purity stamps inside the band, such as 18CT or PLAT. Construction details like hand-pierced gallery work, claw settings, and hand-cut diamonds like old European or transition cuts further indicate origin from this period.

A vintage five stone ring features a low-profile linear arrangement that pairs comfortably with straight-edged modern bands. It can be worn as a standalone dress ring, stacked with a plain metal wedding band, or paired with minimalist platinum and white gold pieces.

Clean the ring using warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft-bristled toothbrush to clear debris beneath the settings. Avoid harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners if the settings are delicate, and have a jeweller inspect the claws periodically to ensure the gemstones remain secure.
