Brian MacDonald Antique Rugs & Carpets has dated this piece to the 1900s.

The bag was woven by a Darrehshuri nomad within the Qashqa'i Confederacy circa 1900 and was a highly-prized possession for the weaver who would have kept a mirror, coins or jewellery in this bag.
It is in excellent condition with the original braided handle for transporting it over the woman's shoulder.
Size: 25cm x 22cm (10" x 8.5").
