Antique Baluch Rug. 219cm X 125cm.

1900 - 1920
Description

North east persia,probably khorossan province.

Circa 1900-1910.

Bigger sized than most I have seen.

Has a type of tarantula design main border with central design of an arrangement of seven sided medallions in diagonal formation.

Even low pile with some darker colours lower. Some side cord wear. Corner repair. Ends been stopped. Everything imaged.

Usually this type retail completley restored between 750 and 2500.

My price only £325.

U.k post £16.

Size is 6 foot 10 inches by 4 foot 1 inches. 219cm X 125cm. At widest points. All wool construction.

It is becoming abundantly clear that restoring rugs is a false economy,i have many completely restored,no one wants to pay the prices so now rugs are listed as is with all faults imaged and mentioned. Also they are the fraction of the price of restored rugs.

Such is the times we live in. There are other people who sell restored rugs. Mine from now on will be as is. Unless something of interest appeals to me then I will restore it for my own amusement.
