Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Vienna regulator is a precision pendulum wall clock housed in a tall, glazed wooden case. Originating in Austria and Germany during the nineteenth century, these timepieces were designed for high accuracy and typically feature weight-driven movements and clean architectural lines.

These clocks are constructed using fine hardwood timber cases, such as rosewood, walnut, or mahogany, paired with glazed glass panels. The internal components typically feature brass weight shells, brass pendulum bobs, and a painted or fired white enamel dial.

Authentic period examples feature hand-crafted weight-driven movements, porcelain or fired enamel dials with Roman numerals, fine steel hands, and slim brass pendulum rods. The woodwork usually displays traditional joinery, rich natural patina, and original glass side apertures.

A slender wooden wall clock serves as a focal point when hung in a hallway, home office, or library. Placing it against neutral wall tones creates visual contrast while bridging traditional craft with contemporary minimalist decor.

Ensure the clock is mounted strictly plumb on a secure wall to keep the pendulum swinging freely. Dust the wooden case with a dry microfibre cloth, avoid harsh chemical polishes near the movement, and consult a qualified horologist for periodic movement lubrication.
