Description

A rather special Arts & Crafts inspired silver caddy spoon with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1929 and makers mark for AE Jones, a renowned early 20thc designer and silversmith. The caddy spoon has a good gauge of silver with a deep wide bowl and gently planished finish. The handle design resembles a sword hilt within a pair of arching circles. The design echoes the Arts & Crafts themes of Arthurian and Celtic influences, adapted for the stylish and discerning tastes of the George V and Deco 1920s/1930s era. Excellent condition.
