Mid Victorian Walnut 8" Dial Drop Dial Clock

A mid Victorian solid walnut cased single fusee drop dial wall clock with cast brass bezel and 8" dial, fully serviced and working c.1875. The quality solid figured walnut case with slender surround to the dial and drop box below with small ears set to each side. Access door to the side and base, securing pegs set behind either side of the dial for removing the dial and movement. Cast brass hinged bezel forming the door with glazed view window; the bezel opening with key operated catch to reveal an original painted dial with blued steel hands. The 8 day single fusee movement with anchor escapement and wire drive, complete with period key. Small proportion and presented in superb original condition with a rich polish, fully serviced and working. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Through our trusted international shippers we will source the most competitive quote for delivery to your door. All items are wrapped and packed by the specialist shippers.
