Mid Century 0.91 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1950

Description

An utterly lovely vintage engagement ring. The glowingly white, bright and internally clean old European cut diamond in the centre is secured in a six claw collet with an open gallery, allowing as much light as possible to pass through the diamond. The centre collet "floats" within a halo of white gold and is flanked by tri-split shoulders featuring a spear-shaped centre panel set with a small rose cut diamond. On a D-shaped rose gold shank. A truly special solitaire.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report by IGR.

Cut: Old European cut (rose cuts in the shoulders).

Colour: G in the centre (J to L in the shoulders).

Clarity: VS1 in the centre (I1 in the shoulders).

Carat: Approximately 0.91 carat in the centre (and approximately 0.01 carat in the shoulders).

Circa: 1950.

Size: N 1/2 (UK) or 6 1/2 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The diamond is approximately 6.3mm in diameter. The head of the ring is 9.3mm in diameter and sits 6mm from the finger.

Weight: 3.13 grams.

Metal: 14k rose and white gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
